A Miramar man has been arrested on a charge of marijuana trafficking after the Lee County Sheriff's Office said a deputy found more than 50 pounds of the drug in his van during a Monday traffic stop on I-75.
Linton L. Harris, 54, remains in custody at the Lee County Jail.
The deputy pulled over Harris' van on northbound I-75 near Corkscrew Road for window tint and seatbelt violations, according to a sheriff's office report.
During the stop, the deputy was granted permission to search the van and found 52.2 pounds of marijuana packaged inside.
Harris was taken into custody without incident.
