Good People Do Get Arrested

Narcotics detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office say they arrested a crack cocaine dealer as well as his supplier during an undercover operation. The two people arrested were Eric Charles Householder, 35 and Thomas Denyse Flynn, 54 – both of Port Charlotte.

Narcotics detectives made two previous undercover drug purchases from Householder. They say they bought Oxycodone from him on January 25 and Marijuana on January 29.

Tuesday, around 2:45 p.m., detectives set up another time to buy crack cocaine from Flynn and Householder in Port Charlotte. Once they had bought the crack, other detectives followed Flynn in his 2006 Nissan and made a traffic stop.

The money used in the drug buy was found in Householder’s front pocket. At that time, Householder told the detectives Flynn was his crack supplier and he was selling it for him. Detectives searched the car and found crack cocaine in a paper towel in a pair of pants in the back seat of Flynn’s car; Flynn said the pants were his.

Flynn and Householder were arrested and taken to the Charlotte County Jail. Both were charged with Sale and Delivery of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Householder was also charged in the two previous drug buys for Sale and Delivery of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Sale and Delivery of Oxycodone and Possession of Oxycodone.

Flynn’s Nissan was seized for forfeiture.

Flynn, a convicted felon, remains in jail on no bond.

Householder posted a $20,500 bond and was released Wednesday morning.

Detectives say anyone who knows about of illegal drug activity is asked to call the CCSO Narcotics Unit at 941-575-2157 or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS.
