Fort Myers police seized drugs, a firearm and cash Thursday in two separate search warrants at a Royal Palm Avenue complex. Police and a SWAT team served both warrants at 2505 Royal Palm Ave., according to a Fort Myers Police Department release.
In the first search, police seized 24 grams of marijuana individually packaged for street distribution, 39 capsules (9 grams) of MDMA or Mollies, and $1,156 in cash. The street value of drugs seized was $1,200. Police arrested Jonathan Cole, 29, of Fort Myers, on charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a daycare and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At the second apartment, police seized 233 grams of marijuana, a Springfield Armory 40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, drug paraphernalia and $505 cash. Police arrested Taquan Brown, 22, of Fort Myers, on a charge of obstruction of the execution of a search warrant; and Bryan Murph, 32, of Fort Myers, on a charge of possession of marijuana with the intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a daycare.
