Former Estero teacher accused of sex with student surrenders

| Mar 19, 2014 | Sex Crime

ESTERO – The former Estero High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student turned himself in to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday evening.

A warrant had been issued for 25-year-old Dominic Frank a week ago and members of the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit had been actively attempting to locate him before he surrendered.

We first told you about this story in February when allegations emerged that Frank was having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

We searched his personnel file, which revealed statements from classmates saying the teen admitted to having sex with Frank, claiming they were in love.

Frank was fired shortly after the allegations emerged. He is expected to make his first appearance later today.
