Naples man charged with DUI after crashing into patrol car

A Naples man was arrested on DUI charges early Sunday morning after he crashed into a Collier County deputy’s patrol car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Rodney Francisdaky, 25, was westbound on White Boulevard when he ran a red light and collided with the deputy’s cruiser.

Troopers say Francisdaky fled the scene and was stopped by another deputy on Pine Ridge Road.

Neither Francisdaky nor the deputy, 48-year-old Craig Guadagni, were injured.

Francisdaky is charged with DUI, DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, resisting arrest, running a red light, and having faulty equipment.
