Following an investigation in Orlando, Florida police arrested three teenagers — two of whom had apparently escaped from a Fort Myers halfway house. Reportedly, two youths, ages 15 and 18, escaped and traveled to Orlando in a stolen vehicle where they met up with the twin brother of the 18-year-old. The three teens then allegedly engaged in several juvenile crimes in Orlando.
A police report indicates that the trio took to the Orlando streets on the day following their escape. The brother of the older escapee allegedly attempted to run over a pedestrian while driving a stolen SUV. Reportedly, he returned to the pedestrian’s home sometime later when he allegedly fired shots at the family.
Surveillance cameras provided footage that is said to show the three youths breaking into cars, and they are also suspected of smashing into the door of a store shortly after they were picked up by the cameras. Deputies say they later spotted them traveling in a stolen pickup truck. The officers reportedly pulled them over, and although the youths apparently attempted to flee on foot, a police pursuit soon led to them being apprehended.
